Operations
Altus Leadership is proud to call itself a 100% volunteer-operated 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization. We exist because of our incredible volunteers across the United States. Whether at the corporate board or organizational level, they give their time and talents without any expectation of compensation. We largely operate in virtual spaces, leveraging Zoom and Google Docs to organize ourselves and our programs.
During this start-up phase, we intend to operate within Washington State for our inaugural programs. The hope, should we succeed, will be to expand and offer our programs across the nation. What happens to the donations?
Given our current volunteer model, every dollar donated either goes toward minimal overhead (less than 5%), programs, or local student sponsorships. Our goal, provided cost projections don’t materially shift, will be to eventually split every non-program-related donation equally between operations and student sponsorships. This means that after our inaugural fundraiser of $15,000, 50% of every dollar donated will go towards sponsoring a student in need to attend a local Altus program.
Volunteer Opportunities
In the coming weeks we will add every available volunteer opportunity below. These opportunities will range from 2-4 week commitments as a short-term specialist, providing needed skills for special projects; to 12-18 month commitments as a departmental director, providing strategic vision and leadership for long-term organizational goals.
